Yet another tormented!

Never thought that my first post will be about another one of those hundreds of girls who are harassed mentally and physically everyday in our country but the recent Guwahati incident forced me to ponder upon this hideous issue. The unfortunate incident became more painful due to the chicken-hearted bystanders none of whom had the courage to stand up and put up a fight and the media who kept on recording the video and nothing else. The power of public can do anything but sadly here it was used for molesting someone.
The basic question which arises is that why these incidents are happening again and again(2919 recorded rape cases in 1971 and 24206 in 2011 and these are only rapes). Our society is getting wickedly cruel and everyday we see a new form of cruelty forced upon the innocents. Rape, molestation, child sexual abuse, domestic violence and what not(also include the numerous sexual innuendos directed at women at work places, colleges etc by the so-called civilized men).
Humans have ''animal instincts'' in them. It's just that it comes out in the form of  brutality in people who lack morality and conscience . So it's pretty hard to reform such people by giving lectures on ethics and morals. Remember our school days, whenever a kid used to do something wrong, teachers or parents used to make him/her understand by telling that ''it's is not good, good kids don't do such thing and blah blah'' In many of the cases we used to obey and would never do that mistake again. But then there were some kids who were as haughty as the devil and would never learn unless they were forced to punishments. But once the teacher/parent punished them and showed them the FEAR, hardly they would do that thing again!
Someone has rightly said that FEAR is more worse than DEATH . The ill-elements in our society have reached that stage where they can't be reformed by simply putting up banners and asking mothers to teach their kids not to harass. Most of the mothers indeed give their kids good moral values but at what point of time someone can turn into a devil no one can tell!
It was indeed shocking for me to know the laws of punishment against molestation. In most of the cases people get away with a 2 year imprisonment or a fine or both. Sometimes they even get the bail after few months. If these things have to be stopped that old-school theory of punishing the naughtiest kid in the class should be implemented. Once our government takes an inspirational decision and punish these bastards in a way no one could have ever imagined like making them sexless or something else which can really TERRIFY them(capital punishment is never the solution, it kills you in a second!) every single man will think twice before committing such an act. The problem would still not be eliminated from the root but surely the frequencies of such cases would start to decrease. The FEAR of strict punishment will surely block off many.
And for those who are the proponents of 'women should dress up completely, women shouldn't drink, women shouldn't etc etc' should just keep one thing in their minds that a woman by wearing a short dress doesn't become your property that you could do anything you want on it and what if you come out of a pub and a group of 30 girls catches you, strips you in public, gropes you and kicks at your crotch? Surely it will feel nice ,isn't it?
